Victor Insulators, Inc manufactures a complete line of wet process porcelain line post insulators for application through 88 kV. All insulators are solid core wet process porcelain and are manufactured and tested in conformance with ANSI Standard C29.7.
Where RUS classifications exist for these products, Victor line posts are RUS accepted. Drawings are available for download.
Line post insulators are presented here divided into four separate groups-tie top designs, and clamp top designs of vertical, horizontal stud mount and horizontal gain base application.
All insulator hardware (clamp yokes and bases) is ferrous.
Standard color is sky gray, with chocolate available upon request. Catalog numbers do not include mounting studs or conductor clamps. These may be ordered separately.
Tie Top Line Posts
Neck designations refer to those specified in ANSI C29.7 and ensure compatibility with pre formed style wrap lock ties. Mounting holes are 3/4 NC tapped.

All units are manufactured from high strength alumina porcelain and are smaller in diameter, lighter in weight and more resistant to impact damage than insulators manufactured from standard strength silica porcelain.
Mounting holes are 3/4 NC tapped through 69 kV. Mounting holes at 88 kV are 7/8 NC tapped.
Standard color is sky gray, with chocolate available upon request. Standard trunnion bolts are 1-1/8 inch in length (and include lock washer). Long trunnion bolts (2 inch in length) are available upon request (and include jam nut).

All units are manufactured from high strength alumina porcelain and are smaller in diameter, lighter in weight and more resistant to impact damage than insulators manufactured from standard strength silica porcelain.
Gain bases provide 5° upward slant to insulator to resist compression of fibers in wood poles. Mounting holes are on 10 inch centers through 55 kV, and 12 inch centers at 69 kV and 88 kV.
Standard color is sky gray, with chocolate available upon request. Standard trunnion bolts are 1-1/8 inch in length (and include lock washer). Long trunnion bolts (2 inch in length) are available upon request (and include jam nut).
