Standard ANSI TR units are available from 7.5 kV through 500 kV
application voltages in standard strength, high strength, and extra high strength (at
selected voltages). A wide variety of special designs (for example high creepage)
exist for special applications.
OEM switch insulators designed specifically for use on distribution switches are also
available.
These insulators are normally purchased direct from the factory but in special
circumstances are available also through our authorized distributors.
Station Post | OEM Switch Insulators
Cap and Pin Replacement Insulators:
These are special designs for substation and switch application to replace older cap
and pin units and stacks. Designed with all the benefits of the station post (to eliminate
the failure mode found with cap and pins), these units are dimensioned to substitute
directly into the space occupied by the cap and pin units being replaced.
Both standard post type mounting and pedestal type mounting are available to permit
replacement of the cap and pins without expensive rework of structures. Electrical and
mechanical characteristics match those of the insulators being replaced.
Designs currently exist for all commonly used cap and pin units and stacks.
New designs are developed to meet specific customer needs as necessary. All that is
required is for the customer to identify the characteristics of the cap and pin stack to
be replaced and our engineers will develop the appropriate replacement insulator.

Special Porcelain Designs:
Victor provides a wide variety of porcelains designed specifically for OEM
applications. These include but are not limited to fused cut out porcelains, bushings,
housings, and many other custom designed products.
Since most of these designs are customer specific, and in many cases proprietary, we

Indoor Bus Support
Insulators:
Victor provides a wide variety of indoor bus support designed specifically for OEM
applications and conforming to ANSI Standard C29.10. These include, but are not limited to,
ANSI/NEMA Classes A-10, A-20 and A-30.
